09-07-20 - Fourth and fifth at Brands Hatch

Rickard Rydell once again scored valuable points in the WTCC, this time at Brands Hatch in England. The SEAT driver was fifth in race one and fourth in race two.

When the WTCC came to Brands Hatch last weekend it was like coming home for Rickard Rydell. With no race in Sweden this year, the race at Brands was Rydell’s home race of 2009. The Swede was fastest of the five SEAT Sport drivers in qualifying, lining up in fifth for race one. Race one saw Rydell finish in fifth place, and race two in fourth.
”For the third race weekend in a row I managed to score points in both races. I had two good starts and also good pace in the races, but had to let Gabriele Tarquini pass me in both races”, said Rickard Rydell.
”I’m very pleased with my own driving at Brands Hatch. I’m a bit disappointed not to have the pace to race for victories. And it was also great to race in Britain again.”
Alain Menu won race one and Augosto Farfus race two.
